| I am having an issue with the brakes on my '81 LNA where they have been dragging a little bit like the calipers aren't fully releasing. The problem doesn't start right away, but as I drive, they will begin to hang up. I have already replaced the calipers twice, put new hoses on, and also replaced the master cylinder, but the problem still occurs. Does anyone have any ideas what to check next? | |

| I'd accuse the master cylinder Isn't the little stick that pushes the piston of the master cylinder too long ? I had this problem. The first braking was always ok, but after it released so slowly. It took me time to realize that. | |

Oh, that's interesting. Is this a common problem? I didn't really look at that, someone installed the master cylinder for me. So, you shortened the stick yourself? | |

| Depending on the year model, you can just calibrate it. The pedal side of the stick may have a screw thread and a bolt to fasten it. If so just make sure to have a little bit of backlash, so that the master cylinder comes back to initial position. Else try shortening it little by little. | |

| I see. I do see the bolt and nut where it attaches to the pedal, but it doesn't look like it has room for adjusting. I'll give it a try, though. Basically, I want the pedal to attach a little further forward on the rod, right? | |

| I figured it out based on your suggestion. I had replaced the brake light switch and I guess the new one was just a little longer than the old one, so the pedal wasn't quite going all the way back. So, I adjusted the switch and now it's fine. | |

| At least adding a sub-section for our international friends could be cool as well ------------- Ajouter une sous-catégorie à l'index du forum "nos amis internationaux" --> our international friends, serait une bonne idée, pour renseigner les possesseurs étrangers comme l'exemple d'ici? Etant donné que plusieurs membres se débrouillent bien en anglais ça pourrait donner de la visibilité au forum et donc au club! | |
