I think the fuel pump just died on my 1981 LNA. Can someone tell me which fuel pump I need? Is it mounted in the gas tank? Merci!

No, it is mounted directly on the engine, on the left side. Any 2cv6 pump will do the job. Maybe a faster option would be an electrical pump, but take a low pressure model, or you might have problems.

Great. Thank you! It was hiding on me when I first looked, but I see it now.

"If you want to find the fuel pump, you have to think like a fuel pump" Be careful i you want to go back to the mechanical fuel pump. Some "nonames" are a bit oversized and are too big to pass between the admission and engine block. I had the case once, i had to disassemble it to pass the collector and reassemble it closer to its natural emplacement.

Thanks for the advice. It seems to be ok now, actually. It wasn't getting fuel to the carb, but it just hadn't been started in a while. The pump did look a little wet, though, so I thought maybe it was leaking, but it seems to be fine for now. It's going on a long drive tomorrow, so that'll let me know how it's doing.

Or add a manual pump if you don't use it often enough (and/or a check valve)

Manual pump ? "poire d'amorçage" ? A "primer bulb" ? Yes but you must find it in 5mm, not 8 ! [Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien]
